While IV naloxone is the fastest and most effective response, it requires medical staff and equipment that aren’t always available. That’s why EmerRx created an alternative.

It’s developed EMRX-101, an intranasal naloxone designed to deliver IV-like absorption within minutes. Founded in 2025 by biotech veterans, EmerRx has shown in early studies that its solution achieves stronger tissue and blood penetration compared to existing sprays. The company has filed a provisional patent on its system.
