Anatomic Global is aiming to disrupt the $15 billion mattress industry.

The 27-year-old company has recently repositioned itself to sell its line of LUXI branded mattresses in retail stores as well as directly to consumers online.

Other online mattress companies sell one style of mattress that, according to Anatomic Global, is just "foam in a box."

Anatomic Global, however, uses its patent-pending "Support Balancing Technology," enabling it to sell the first-ever adjustable bed-in-a-box mattress.

As Forbes has noted, LUXI is “disrupting the disruptors in the online mattress business.”

Online mattress companies are growing rapidly. For example, in 2017, online mattress sales reached $1.5 billion.

This trend is led by direct-to-consumer companies that sell these bed-in-a-box mattresses.

For example, on just four years, Casper has become worth more than $750 million. And Purple, another mattress company, was recently acquired by Global Partner Acquisition Group for $1.1 billion.

Yet even with this rising trend, industry studies predict online mattress sales will eventually reach 20% to 25% of the total mattress market. This means 75% to 80% of purchases will still come from a traditional retail store.

Whether purchased online, or through a brick-and-mortar store, more than 20 million mattresses in the U.S. need to be replaced each year.

With its LUXI branded mattresses, Anatomic Global is targeting the trend of selling mattress online, and remaining true to customers who prefer to purchase their mattress in stores.

Each LUXI mattress has 3-in-1 adjustability, meaning each customer gets the specific support level they need on their side of the bed.

In addition, the mattresses feature a collapsing column, which comfortably cradles a person’s hips and shoulders, and lateral movement, which provides precise body contouring.

According to Anatomic Global, its hypoallergenic mattresses result in “no more back pain, no more interruptions, and no more night sweats.”

Anatomic Global has been in the mattress industry for nearly 30 years. Most recently, the company has been working with third-party manufacturers to develop and test the LUXI mattresses.

These mattresses were developed in 2016, and the company aims to begin sales through 12 retailers in fall 2018.

CEO David Farley has more than 30 years’ experience in the mattress industry. He founded and sold Anatomic Concepts, a company that manufactured foam for therapeutic mattresses…

And Chief Marketing Officer Alex Franklyn previously worked at a mattress start-up called Saatva. While there, he increased the company’s total revenue from $500,000 to more than $200 million over seven years.
