Clip turns any bicycle into an electric bike.

It’s created a simple device that attaches to any bike in ten seconds — no tools required. In doing so, it instantly transforms a traditional bicycle into a high-powered e-bike.

“The Future of E-Bikes Might Be One ‘Clip’ Away,” noted StreetsBlog NYC.

“This clever attachment makes any bike an e-bike in just seconds,” said Fast Company.

And Time pointed out, “If you’re looking for an e-bike experience without ditching your favorite two-wheeler, the CLIP is for you.”

E-bikes have taken the world by storm. Since 2020, sales of e-bikes have surged 240% year-over-year. And by 2027, the e-bike market is projected to reach eighty billion dollars.

Interestingly, traditional bikes have gained in popularity, too. Since 2021, sales are up forty-one percent. Now anyone with a traditional bike can convert it to an electric one in seconds using Clip.

Clip has created the world’s first plug-and-play e-bike upgrade device. It’s the only bike-upgrade technology that’s ready to go out of the box and requires no tools or modifications for installation. And it’s the only tech that’s compatible with all commuter, road, hybrid, and even shared bikes.

From its initial production batch, customers across thirty-eight states have used Clip to ride more than 8,000 miles.

Said one user, “Clip is even easier and more fun to use than I anticipated.” And noted a reviewer from The New Yorker, “I pedaled, felt a nudge, then pressed a red button on the handlebar and got a burst of juice. Whee!”

Clip is advertised as a convenient, affordable way to turn any bike into an e-bike. It retails for between $499 and $549, compared to other e-bike upgrades that can cost more than $1,000.

But the company also created this device as a way to combat rising carbon dioxide emissions generated by cars. Half of all urban commutes are between three to six miles. And if even half of these trips were made by bicycle, the world could save 300 million tons of CO2 per year, and twenty-five trillion dollars in cumulative transport expenses by 2050.

Clip’s technology was born out of the MIT Media Lab. And its creation was named among Time Magazine’s “Best Inventions of the Year.”

The company’s team of advisors includes experts from Amazon, Jabil, Motorola, Nissan, and McKinsey. And it’s pre-sold more than 1,000 units with zero marketing efforts. Clip is raising capital to scale production and create a second version of its technology.
