Reusable Water Bottles
GiveMeTap produces and sells co-branded and reusable stainless steel water bottles.
For every bottle sold, they provide one person in Africa access to clean drinking water through the funding of sustainable water, sanitation, and irrigation projects.
Each bottle helps drinkers avoid spending money on bottled water by granting them exclusive access to a network of restaurants and retailers, which are located by using the GiveMeTap mobile app (iOS & Android).
Retailers benefit from a new customer base and direct marketing access to users via the app. The app also tracks individual water usage.
Corporate customers, which include Deloitte, KPMG and Visa, buy its water bottles as a way to save money and give employee gifts that showcase their company values.
GiveMeTap is already profitable and boasts margins of 75%.
It has sold over 42,000 water bottles ($400,000 in revenue). Since January 2015, it has experienced 123% month-over-month growth, with $50,000 in revenue for March.
It plans to use the proceeds of this financing round to build a sales team.
