Family Game Night — Enhanced with AR
Mirrorscape is using augmented-reality (AR) technology to enhance game night.
Friends and families have played board games and tabletop games for decades, creating a thirteen-billion-dollar market. But the experience is limited by the physical constraints of place and time. Not anymore.
Mirrorscape’s platform bridges the gap between traditional tabletop gaming and a digital world. With its platform, players can:
• Leverage AR to see life-like virtual game boards and pieces integrated into real-world surroundings.
• Connect and play as if they were physically gathered together around the same table.
• And use gesture recognition to “grab” digital objects as if they were real.
British gaming website Wargamer dubbed Mirrorscape’s creation “tabletop gaming’s first ‘all-in-one’ AR platform.” And tech website Wired said of the company’s platform, “I have seen the future of gaming and entertainment.”
Mirrorscape’s team has forty-five years of VR/AR experience at top companies like Apple and Sony. The company projects to reach eight million dollars in revenue and two million downloads in 2025.
