Wine Subscription Delivery Service

Company Information

Sector:

Alcoholic Beverages, eCommerce

Location:

New York, New York

Glassful is a new monthly wine subscription designed around the individual.

To start the process, new members fill out an interactive quiz. Then, Glassful hand-picks three wines based on their tastes, and delivers the wines to their front door.

Each month is themed and includes a gift. Members can rate the wines they've received, and this data informs Glassful's algorithm, resulting in better wine choices each month.

An eCommerce store is available for consumers to purchase additional wines. Glassful handles fulfillment, warehousing and compliance.

Glassful also operates a brick & mortar store in Long Island City.

Wine is a $162 billion industry and direct-to-consumer wine is a $1.8 billion industry growing at 17% annually. The average American drinks 2 bottles of wine/month, while the average millennial drinks 3 bottles/month.

In the first 9 months of 2014, Glassful achieved revenues of over $170,000. It's already hit that same milestone in the first 4 months of 2015.
